Obtaining a Site

After two years of negotiations and administrative red tape the SSB Trust acquired a site situated at Ha Tsautse near the centre of Maseru, close to a main road, but on the side of a mountain. The site is a quiet place, from which one has a marvellously undisturbed view over Maseru town.

The site has been leased for 90 years for Educational purposes, at the Registrar of Deeds on 30October 2000, Registration No. 13291-608. This lease has been transferred to the Seliba Sa Boithuto Trust at the Registrar of Deeds on 30March 2001, Registration No. 26387.

July 1999	Visit by Maseru City Urban Land Committee to site
September 1999	Urban Land Committee decides to process lease to LAA, later to be transferred to SSB
February 2000	Government Gazette No.12, Supplement 1: declaring the site a Selected Development Area, for Educational Use.
October 2000	Site Leased to LAA (13291-608)
January 2001	Transfer of Site to SSB approved by Ministry of Home Affairs
February 2001	Memorandum of Agreement of Sale by LAA to SSB Trust Fund
March 2001	Deed of Transfer (26387)
April 2001	Deed received and money paid. M29,573.00
